Shoulder pain: home physiotherapy

Pain or restricted movement in the shoulder.

How physiotherapy helps

Shoulder pain may be caused by rotator cuff tendinitis, frozen shoulder, subacromial impingement, or injury. The shoulder joint is the most mobile in the body and simultaneously the most vulnerable to problems. During home physiotherapy, the therapist assesses which structures are affected and applies specialized techniques: manual therapy, stretching, and targeted exercises to strengthen the rotator cuff and scapular muscles. Recovery is gradual — first pain is relieved, then range of motion is restored, and finally muscle stability is reinforced. The number of sessions depends on the cause and severity, and is set after the assessment.

Common symptoms
